BACKGROUND: Several studies have proposed a pathogenic role for oxidized LDL (oxLDL)
in atherosclerosis. We tested the hypothesis whether oxLDL modulates dendritic cells (DCs),
since these important antigen-presenting cells have been implicated in atherogenesis. We
